DBZ Guitars Venom Snake Skin Guitar Sidewinds Its Way On Stage
Guitar maker Dean Zelinsky of DBZ Guitars created a textured Snake Skin finish for the new Venom Snake Skin guitar ($4,599 Street) using new techniques, like hunting poisonous snakes in the Amazon and tacky-papering their thin skins to a Mahogany body. Just kidding. As a life-long vegetarian, he would never do that, of course.
Zelinsky and DBZ Guitars will be heading to MusikMesse 2010 next week to show off the new Venom Snake Skin and the other guitars across the line. So how did they do it? The Venom Snake Skin gets its life-like serpentine finish from artisans who air brush and hand-craft every little detail on the instrument. Shown here is the USA Venom Snake Skin model, all new for 2010.
Aside from its snakey surface, the guitar features a 25.5-inch set neck, Mahogany body, and etched hard rock maple top, Mahogany neck / Ebony fingerboard, and 24 frets. Accents include a premium Arrow Pearl inlay at the 12th fret, Dean B. Zelinsky Signature USA pickups, and gold hardware. The Venom Snake Skin sports an original Floyd Rose Tremolo System and an optional string-thru-body fixed bridge as well.
Zelinsky confirms that no animals were harmed in the production of these guitars. To learn more about the new Venom Snake Skin, visit dbzguitars.com.
