October 29, 2010
Denon DJ has begun shipping the DN-X600 is a two-channel digital mixer featuring a MIDI interface and an internal soundcard.

Now shipping from Denon DJ, the new DN-X600 two-channel digital mixer features a MIDI interface, internal soundcard, and a whole lot more. Designed for all types of DJs, the unit offers software compatibility for laptop DJs and full functionality for non-software DJs as well.

The DN-X600 features a 24-bit, 96 kHz USB 2.0 audio interface (soundcard) with 4 input / 4 output (stereo) channels. Internal 32-bit floating DSP processing and 32-bit DAC output deliver the best possible sound, notes Denon, while its DVS direct mode allow the unit to be used with DJ applications using platter control signal operation. Aside from the processing and output, the sound is further optimized by the unit’s Phono Amp with a high signal-to-noise ratio, along with a clean mic amp, and high-output headphone amplifier.

The two-channel mixer includes an onboard DSP effects section with the ever useful On / Off button, Dry-Wet mix and independent send assignment (Ch / Mic / Master), and the following effects: Delay, Echo, Flanger, Filter, Reverb, Loop, Beat Scratch and BeatBreaker.

In addition, the DN-X600 has a two-way EFX Parameter Filter, including Cross Over Frequency and Isolator (lowpass filter / highpass filter), plus a send / return control for use with external effects, 3-band Channel EQ with full kills, 32-point cross fader contour adjustment with contour adjust, and a Fader Start function (channel / cross fader). The Cross Fader Start Position is off the edge (0~2 mm range), and the unit’s "Thru" function can be MIDI-mapped for Video transitions using DJ applications such as Serato Video Scratch Live or Virtual DJ, while the channel faders continue to control and output audio.

DJs can have full control of their mix, thanks to the unit's 45 mm Flex Fader (cross fader) with tension adjustment, 45 mm custom Alps-type Channel Faders, Innofader-Pro compatibility (for cross fader), and Channel Fader contour adjustment.

The unit’s control surface is MIDI-mappable, including knobs, keys, and buttons. The DN-X600 can work with all current operating systems, including Mac OSX 10.6.4 and 32 / 64-bit Windows systems (XP, Vista, or Windows 7). A low-latency 32/64-bit ASIO driver is included for PC use, and USB send / return routing is included for use with DJ software DSP effects.

Denon's DN-X600 has two 1/4-inch "phono" inputs and two AUX inputs, mic input, effects send / return, stereo output, USB send / return, booth out, and master out. Built to withstand a lot of abuse, the digital mixer has a solid steel chassis construction and grounding circuitry to protect it from external noise. Power consumption is 24W, and the unit also features a green, energy-saving ECO standby mode.

Additional DN-X600 features include:
