Detunized Harmona Forte Live Pack, Detunized Free Oberhof Live Pack Released

January 03, 2011
Detunized released its Harmona Forte and Oberhof Live Packs, new sound libraries for Ableton Live.

As a bonus to its users, Detunized is offering any subscriber who buys the new sound pack, Harmona Forte, a free download of the Oberhof Live pack.

Detunized.com is a subscription-based sound library site, offering sound collections ready to use in Ableton Live.

The Harmona Forte Live pack features the sounds of a "laptop accordion" or keyboard instrument that is similar to a reed organ. As Detunized notes, the sound of the instrument is produced by air being blown through reeds of different length, and the air is provided by an electrical-driven blower that produces a permanent wind noise. Its functionality and sound make the Harmona Forte an aerophone instrument.

The new Harmona Forte Live pack contains the five original sounds of the Harmona with a few extra goodies, such as adjustable stereo width and levels of the blower noise, key-on and key-off sounds, and the reeds. In addition, the sound pack includes 14 slightly different instruments based on the sound of the original Harmona; these additional instruments are best suited as supplements for textural or rhythmical layering, according to Detunized. All in all, this sound pack offers a total of 19 instruments and 245 samples (24-bit, 44.1 kHz), for Ableton Live 7 or higher.

The Harmona Forte Live Pack is now available for 4.98 EUR (approximately $7) for Detunized subscribers or 6.98 EUR (approximately $9) as a one-time download for non-subscribers. Subscriptions cost 4.98 EUR per month and provide instant downloads for all current Subscription Live Packs; each new release stays in the subscription cycle for about 50 days. If you are not already a subscriber, you might consider being one just to get the free download of the Oberhof Live pack.

Oberhof features the sounds of the Oberheim Xpander, the synth released in the early '80s that offered digital control with an analog signal path. For the Oberhof sound pack, Detunized created 25 instruments based on the Xpander's warm, deep, pad-ready sounds. According to the maker, some of the included patches present the original sounds nearly unaltered, while others make extensive use of Live's FX and modulation capabilities. Like the Harmona Forte pack, Oberhof is available for Live 7 or higher; it includes 25 instruments and 797 samples (24-bit, 44.1 kHz).

Both Harmona Forte and Oberhof are available at detunized.com.
