Digidesign Eleven Prereleased With Free Trial Version

October 15, 2007
Digidesign Eleven is prereleased and available for a sample download at Digidesign's official website

Digidesign introduces their virtual guitar amp software Eleven in a way that should make all users of guitar modeling happy - with a free 30-day prerelease version. The cleverly named Eleven is a plug-in in TDM, RTAS, and AudioSuite versions.

Eleven boasts that its emulations are ultra-realistic and based off of many vintage and modern amplifiers, speaker cabinets, and microphones. Digidesign has already dropped some names including Fender, VOX, Marshall, Soldano, and Mesa/Boogie. It works directly from your Pro Tools, Avid, or VENUE rig.

Digidesign credits the tones on Eleven to some extensive research conducted with basically anyone who would know anything about guitar modeling from guitar players to recording engineers. Emulation takes every aspect of the guitar amp and cab into account for near perfect recreation.

Eleven even emulates details like speaker cone breakup, amplifier sag, cabinet resonance, and in the spirit of Halloween - ghost notes. These are the kinds of minor things that could differentiate between good emulated tone and emulation camouflaged so well that you can't even tell its there.

Head on over to Digidesign's website and download the free prerelease to test it out.
