Digidesign RM1 Reference Monitors Work Great with Pro Tools and More
Mike from Agency of Spirits loves his Digidesign RM1 Reference Monitors so much, that he might even run his iPod through them. Until he makes that decision, he uses them with Pro Tools, which they not surprisingly take to rather easily. Mike talks about why they are an improvement over his old monitors, but he still doesn't tell us where his penthouse is. Too bad we can't see out that window.
MIKE: Hey. This is Mike from Agency of Spirits. This are Digidesign RM1's. They're wonderful. I mean they're made for Pro Tools obviously, Digidesign. They're probably the most accurate responding monitors that I've heard ever. I mean I'm sure there's better ones out there but they're probably going to cost you a lot more.
The mixes are just really -- they're extremely accurate for Pro Tools. I mean I've used like my little K-RoKs that I hide back here, and they're just way too bass heavy. I think I mean I'm sure that people have seen these before, but they too much bass. And they have digital ins and all that stuff but right now I've only got it hooked up to analog but I mean so far they sound amazing. I mean I'm just floored by them. I mean they're not cheap, about 1,200 buck a pair -- or actually $1,200 individually, 2,400 bucks a pair.
Commercial mixes. I use it for like my own stuff. I mean I'm not going to listen to just average music, you know. I'm not going to plug my iPod into it or anything like that but I'm sure that'll sound good to, so.
