Paperless Sheet Music: A New Way To Learn Songs
For decades pianists have longed for a time when they would not have to turn pages ever again. Now, that dream has become reality.
Paperless Sheet Music allows the keyboardist to follow the notes on an lcd flat-screen while playing their favorite classics and pop standards. Since Paperless Sheet Music licenses all of its music from BMI/ASCAP and Sony, there are plenty of titles in all genres of popular music. Check out our video from Summer NAMM 2007.
KEVIN BAILEY: Again, my name is Kevin Bailey and I'm the producer of Paperless Sheet Music. It's the world's first and only music notation DVD. A lot of people think it maybe karaoke sheet music, some people think it's video sheet music. They're absolutely right. What we do is we take traditional print music, digitize it, sync in the tempo, write into the media, and now instead of buying a paperbook, you can actually buy your sheet music on a DVD. Works in any DVD player. You don't need to get any new hardware. You probably already have a DVD player in your house. You can sit right on your couch and play your guitar while your sheet music actually turns the page for you. It's a digital page turner and we have hundreds and hundreds and hundreds of songs that are available because we have licensing with EMI and Sony ATV so every Tuesday, we actually bring out two new videos that you can purchase. We have lessons, we have a wide variety of things that are paperless sheet.
