DigiTech RP1000 Is A Uniter, Not A Divider
If you've been pulling your hair out trying to decide between your beloved collection of vintage stompboxes and the convenience and portability of a multi-effect pedal, DigiTech has the perfect compromise. The new DIgiTech RP1000 is a multi-effect pedalboard that takes the same DSP-architecture and construction design of the rest of the RP-series, and adds an integrated, external effects-loop switching option, meaning you can not only still use your old effects, but you now have even more control over them.
Not only does the RP1000 integrate with your existing effects setup with ease, but it also stays out of the way of your amp's tone. A simple "Amp/Cabinet" bypass switch turns the RP1000's speaker simulations off with a single switch, allowing your amp to do the work. I mean, your amp is already there, right? Why bother bringing it to the gig and have it sit on the sidelines? This isn't the NFL, for cryin' out loud.
As if these ingenious features weren't enough, the RP1000 also features a "full-time" phrase looper. By adding the standard DigiTech FS3X footswitch, you can have dedicated controls for the RP1000's phrase looper like it was a separate pedal -- which is sorta exemplary of the RP1000's whole design philosophy: why add effects if you can't access them easily? It's the same reason that buttons 6-10 on the RP1000 can be used to access individual effects within a preset.
Of course, there's still the die-cast metal housing, the rugged metal switches, the durable expression pedal and DigiTech quality effects that you'd expect from the RP-series floorboards, and with a suggested retail price of $699.95, the RP1000 represents not only the change you need, it's also the change you don't have to fear.

Pretty Cool
I'm glad to see somebody's making a product that I can actually use on stage. I'm pissed that I bought a GT-10 because I can only change 4 presets at a time. DigiTech has gone old school with this, it looks like they've got this one right.
RP1000(Digitech)
Can it be connected to a combo amps channel switching so channels and effects can be changed with the push of 1 button ( I have already modded my footswitch cable to have a quarter inch jack on the end of it). Does anyone know this? Matt
No amp channel switching
No amp channel switching capability and no MIDI. What were they thinking???
RP1000
I tried to get my GT-10 to switch a few of my amps only to find out that the old school method isn't used anymore. Fender uses a mono cable but has some wierd way of switching. I was looking at the a few other amps only to find out that every amp manufacture does it differently. What the hell happened?
sound quality
does it have a better sound quality than that of Boss ME70... they say ME 70's sound is comparable to that of GT 10....
yes it does.
yes it does.
rp1000
The sound quality is far,far better than the gt10 and the me70.Best sound and effects quality ive ever heard from a multi effects pedal and most presets are actually usable, not full of useless, gimmicky effects.Lots of options too. I run it thru my amp loop and i could'nt be happier.
