DOD FX80B: Glenn Weyant And His Wall Of Sound
October 24, 2008
I hope that one day, the story of Glenn Weyant's SonicAnta project gets adapted to film. We interview Glenn by phone to talk about SonicAnta, a sound sculpting venture he undertook where he recorded the sounds of the wall built on the U.S. / Mexico border near Nogales, Arizona.
He used the DOD FX80B compressor / sustainer to boost his signals, and in the film adaptation, I can see Nicolas Cage cast as the DOD FX80B, having to boost 50 contact mic signals in 24 hours . . . or they kill his kid brother.
Visit the official SonicAnta website or DOD's official website for more information
