DQC Lunchbox Distortion Pedal: You Call That A Distortion Pedal? THIS Is A Distortion Pedal

September 09, 2008
DQC Lunchbox Distortion Pedal

I thought that in Australia, everything was backwards -- like amps were naturally distorted and guitarists raved over the latest "clean" pedals while volume knobs maxed out at 0 and muted at 10. Apparently, I was mistaken, and the lads at DQC have packed the Lunchbox distortion pedal with enough distorted range to cover anything from classic rock to modern rock to Ayers Rock.

Sick of being left unsatisfied with their tone, DQC's founders, a pair of stick figures in funny hats named Scott and Nick, decided that they could make their own distortion pedal. They enlisted the aid of an electronics elf, who magicked up a few prototypes. Magic alone, however, wasn't enough, so Scott and Nick took the pedal back to the drawing board and worked together with the electronics elf to fashion a pedal they could all be happy with.

What can sorcery bring to the table? Try this on for size!

  • A tone that brings you ringing major chords, without sounding sissy and can range from retro-sounding twang to bassy, full-sounding distortion to something that sounds nearly synthesized
  • A presence control that allows you to fine-tune the pedal to your guitar, or explore a new frontier of tones
  • Magic is real if you believe in it!
  • Superior construction that includes die-cast case, non-slip base and a brand-new ergonomic layout that eliminates tangled cables everywhere
  • A rechargeable power supply that can provide days on end of non-stop playing
  • Five year warranty
