Get up close and personal with today's leading drummers via the three new Drum Channel DVDs, now available: "The Special Edition of Buddy Rich Up Close"; "The Gannin Arnold Project: 5 World Class Drummers", hosted by virtuoso guitarist Gannin Arnold along with five drumming luminaries; and "Peter Erskine: Everything I Know, A Work In Progress".

These three Drum Channel DVDs offer viewers specialized drumming tips and techniques, tutorials, behind the scenes looks at world class drummers, and more.

"The Special Edition of Buddy Rich Up Close" ($24.95) brings with it a previously unreleased CD which includes the Band Mix and the Buddy Hot Mix of six songs: Love For Sale, Bugle Call Rag, West Side Story, Birdland, Greensleeves and Dancing Men. The DVD features footage from three of Buddy’s shows with shots from as many cameras as possible, highlighting Rich’s drumming techniques. Two different versions of the audio are provided, as is a slow motion rendering to catch all the nuances of his performances.

Next in line, "The Gannin Arnold Project: 5 World Class Drummers" ($24.95) featuring drummers Taylor Hawkins (Foo Fighters), Jimmy Chamberlin (Smashing Pumpkins, Jimmy Chamberlin Complex), Simon Phillips (The Who, Judas Priest, Toto and more), Terry Bozzio (Frank Zappa and more), and Gary Novak (Chick Corea and more). Hosted by guitarist Gannin Arnold, this performance and educational drumming DVD will teach you how to play the Gannin Arnold song "Not From Here" and each musician will show you how differently they interpret it. During the DVD you will be able to see the drummers playing from overhead and watch what their feet are doing, thanks to the close up edits that are included. In addition, the DVD includes interviews with each of the drummers, plus 19 band performances. Joining Gannin Arnold and the five drummers are Billy Mohler on guitar and bass, and Tim Landers on bass.

Last but not least, "Peter Erskine: Everything I Know, A Work In Progress" ($24.95) features just that -- everything Peter Erskine knows through today. A master drummer and educator, Erskine is known for sophisticated rhythms, distinctive accompaniments, and powerful, ripping solos. This double DVD set is a collection of drum lessons with Erskine accompanied by three of his favorite musicians. Produced by music industry legend Don Lombardi, these two drum educational DVDs are said to contain the equivalent of a year's worth of private lessons.
