Drums On Demand Warm & Natural: For Those Who Like Their Drums Like I Like My Oatmeal

Drums On Demand Warm & Natural

Drums On Demand has responded to demands for drum loops that are not cold and synthesized like the little drummer bots in a mechanical army. They're releasing Warm & Natural, an "organically grown" library that offers 25 song sets orientated for acoustic projects.

Now, 25 may seem like an easy number because you can count to it without getting tired of counting, but there are over 1,000 loops and hits. Try counting to that! It's impossible. The feel of all them loops and hits can best be described as "earthy and wooden," which works great for folk, acoustic blues and country.

The secret to this earthy woodenness? A 1962 Slingerland wood snare and a smooth playing style move the groove. Apart from stick and side-stick snare grooves, there are lots of brush and Blastix-based grooves. The BPMs swing from 59 to 179 for a range of sullen to lively with a bell curve for more natural mid-tempo grooves.
