Say hello to a new print-quality mag on the Web. Drum Workshop, Inc., the manufacturer of DW brand drums, pedals, and hardware, and publisher of Edge Magazine has launched Edge Magazine International. This new online magazine provides musicians with a variety of resources on drumming, as well as exclusive content from leading drummers and artists.
The first issue of the Web-published magazine is now available as a free PDF download at dwdrums.com. The inaugural issue includes a cover story with Austrian drummer Thomas Lang; features with Bertram Engel, Carlos Hercules, and Bodo Stricker; lessons; coverage on new product releases from DW and PDP; and more. Edge Magazine International will be issued on a semi-annual basis and it will always be available for free.
About the new magazine, Drum Workshop Director of Marketing, Scott Donnell, comments, "We’re so incredibly fortunate to work with the caliber of high-profile drummers we do, both here in the States and overseas. Because our marketing efforts tend to be global and not tailored to each local market, drummers outside the U.S. rarely receive the same level of visibility as internationally-known artists. Donnell adds, "We’re starting out in Western Europe, however we’re planning to expand our representation to South America, Asia, Eastern Bloc countries, and maybe even the Middle East.
