Dwarfcraft Devices Bit Mangler, Synth Mangler, Spectacular Aenima, And Robot Devil Pedals Introduced
The year 2010 will bring about some changes for the pedal-making company Dwarfcraft Devices. First, the company is going battery clip-free, meaning that as of January 1st, you will need a 9V adaptor to power a Dwarfcraft device. Next, because Dwarfcraft Devices has licensed four discontinued Devi Ever pedals and will be reissuing them early next year. The Bit Mangler, the Synth Mangler, the Dream Mangler, and the Spectacular Aenima will feature new PCBs unique to each model.
The Bit Mangler and Synth Mangler pedals ($300 MSRP each) will also sport a larger enclosure, as well as two independent fuzz circuit toggles for noise, and a joystick control for the intensity or texture of each fuzz.
In addition to having a truly scary name, the Spectacular Aenima ($200 MSRP) produces a "beefed up, whacked out fuzz" with a lot of tricks up its sleeve, including a motorboating Glitch mode, two gain controls, tone, and a bypass / feedback loop.
The Robot Devil ($180 MSRP), a loud distortion and sub-octave generator, offers a foot switch that lets you choose between one or two octaves down. You can independently adjust the volume of the octave effect and distortion, as well as tweak the Starve knob to produce rhythmic oscillation and noise.
