EastWest Complete Composers Collection HD: Upgraded Virtual Instrument Bundle On A Hard Drive
Virtual instrument maker EastWest announced a special upgrade of its Complete Composers Collection HD, to be available on a hard drive for $995 until October 31, 2010.
This customizable bundle packs in seven EastWest / Quantum Leap virtual instruments for film, television, and game audio, and it ships on a 1 TB high-performance Western Digital Black Caviar internal hard drive. Having all the virtual instruments on a hard drive reduces the instruments' installation time -- with this option, there is no need to load instruments from dozens of DVDs.
The standard version of the Complete Composers Collection HD also includes seven of EastWest or Quantum Leap's virtual instruments for music, film, TV, and game composers. The included titles are EastWest / Quantum Leap Symphonic Orchestra Gold, EastWest / Quantum Leap Pianos Gold, EastWest / Quantum Leap Symphonic Choirs, Quantum Leap Goliath, Quantum Leap Stormdrum 2, Quantum Leap Voices of Passion, and Quantum Leap RA.
According to the manufacturer, the same instruments purchased individually would cost more than $3,000, including the free hard drive. When purchased in the Complete Composers Collection HD upgrade, however, they can be had for $995, which is 67 percent off the overall list price.
If you don't want the virtual instruments that come in the standard version of the Complete Composers Collection HD, you have the option to replace any of the standard titles with any other EastWest or Quantum Leap title. Doing so won't change the 67 percent discount off the retail price, but it might change the overall bundle price, if the swapped virtual instruments have a higher list price than others in the standard version.
During the month of October, the Complete Composers Collection HD is available with free shipping. To customize the bundle and learn more about the virtual instruments you can pack in there, visit EastWest's Web site at soundsonline.com.
