Zero-G Classic Disco: Disco Fans, Prepare Your Sample Library Cards
If you forgave "Battlefield Earth" because of "Saturday Night Fever," Zero-G Classic Disco might be something of interest to you. Zero-G's new sample library unites a myriad of disco and funk sounds to add some classic danceability to your mix in 24-bit quality that shimmers like a disco ball.
Zero-G extends past simple sampling with Classic Disco allowing users access to 35 construction kits in a variety of styles to facilitate groove creation. Additional pianos, guitars, basses, and more instrumental sounds are also included.
Classic Disco's construction kits were put together using sounds from the likes of The Salsoul Orchestra, SOS Band, Evelyn Champagne King, D-Train, Chaka Khan, Quincy Jones, George Duke, and Rockers Revenge - some of the most heavily sampled artists and producers from that era. Each kit can be divided into loops per individual instrument, and in addition to instruments, disco vocal "whispering shouts" are added in to function the same way.
Doug Rogers, president and CEO of Zero-G's distributors EASTWEST had this to say:
“Zero-G’s Classic Disco successfully encompasses the fun and funk of the disco era ... The huge variety of samples and loops provides producers all the tools necessary to add that retro feel to their dance tracks.”
Zero-G Classic Disco is available in the following formats:
- Acidized Wav Files
- AIFF Apple Loops
- Stylus Compatible
- Rex2 Files
- EXS24 Instruments
- Kontakt2 Instruments
