EastWest SoundSense Zero-G: Mo' Genre Sample Collections, Mo' Spelling Travesties

EastWest Zero-G Five New SoundSense Collections

Continuing it's reign as the Pokémon of sample collections, the SoundSense series by Zero-G (by EastWest) introduces five new titles to their ever expanding loop library. Unfortunately, unlike Pokémon, you cannot break these collections apart and resell the most coveted samples on Ebay to desperate preteens, but you'll probably want to catch 'em all anyway.

LA Drums was performed and recorded by Top LA session player Jeremy Janeczko (touring credits include Sheryl Crow, Cypress Hill, The Eagles, Alanis Morissette and Michael Jackson). This collection brings you a wide variety of acoustic drum loops for use in all genres of music.

Grime Scene's cover picture would have you believe it's a collection of slow jam grooves about washboard stomachs, but it actually contains 500Mb of essential "Grime" styled loops, growling basses, raw beats, big clash sounds and "grimy strings," percussion and atmospheres inspired by Ragga, Grime, Reggae, Dubstep and many other related styles.

Street Beatz is described as "One GB of brand new, professional, NYC hip hop at a bargain price, full of Earth Shaking Beats, Dope Grooves, Cool Vibes and Full Phat Construction Kits from the streets of NYC." I'm assuming it's not a collection of jackhammers, taxi horns and crazy men wearing aluminum foil suits screaming about 9-11 conspiracies in Washington Square Park, but maybe EastWest will leave me pleasantly surprised.

Old Skool House does not star Bob "The Dealah" Villa, but it does include samples from the classic era of House that revolutionized the club scene in the early 90s. The collection is organized into folders packed full of construction kits, beats, basses, pianos, organs, percussion loops, drum kits, stabs, riffs and more.

Elektrolytic is the second sample library created by UK electro artist Ian "My" Boddy for the Zero-G SoundSense series. This title is not actually a traditional loop library, but in fact a collection of one-shots to add variety to loop tracks and for use in building your own loops.
