East West Zero-G Indian Dance Classics: Loops That Say "I Love You" In Various Degrees Of Stylization And Surreality
Love is one of the most ephemeral and difficult of human emotions to express. Sometimes, just telling someone "I love you" doesn't do justice to the feelings you're experiencing and trying to communicate. Sometimes, the only way to truly express your love is with a fifty member dance team, a two-billion rupee budget and the new East West Zero-G Indian Dance Classics loop collection.
Indian Dance Classics contains 750 loops totaling 1.7 GB in size. For the utmost in creative flexibility, Zero-G has split each of the loop samples samples into intros, rhythms, fills, variations, endings and "freestyles." For the freestyle sample, Zero-G told its musicians to "just go crazy," and boy did they ever! Dhandiyan melodic playing over Manipuri rhythms, with some guy tapping out a straight up Kuchipudi Manjira pattern -- it was wild, man!
The sampled instrumentation does tend towards the more "classic" end of the Bollywood spectrum -- no overproduced Rakesh Roshan techno craziness here -- but the recording quality is top notch and super clean.
Indian classics will be available February 20, 2009; the pricing is TBA.
