Eastwood Guitars Airline Bighorn Electric Guitar: Updated With New Adjustable Bridge, Pickups, And More
Bringing a bit of '60s design to today's instruments, Eastwood Guitars announced the availability of the Airline Bighorn electric guitar. Now shipping, the Airline Bighorn comes in three finishes (Red, Sunburst, and Green) and borrows many of the original guitar's features while adding a couple of modern updates too.
According to the manufacturer, the original Airline Bighorn was one of the early "student" guitars found in North American Catalogs in the 1960s. This model was available under the brands of Airline, Supro, Kay and many others.
Based on the original 1960's Airline Bighorn, the new electric guitar features an updated adjustable bridge, truss rod, and the popular Diamond Argyle single coil pickups. The new Airline Bighorn has a solid Basswood body with a bolt-on Maple neck, Rosewood fingerboard, scale length of 24-3/4" and 1-5/8" width at nut, 3-way switching, volume and tone controls, and vintage Kluson-style nickel / chrome tuners. Again, what refreshes this guitar from the original it is based on is the updated Tele-style, 3-way adjustable bridge.
