Logic Express users just got a bonus thanks to the folks at Eiosis. Makers of the ELS Vocoder, Eiosis just upgraded the product to version 1.5, delivering a new routing capability that LE users have long wished for - sidechaining support inside the plugin itself instead of relying on DAW routing to get the correct signal routing.

Previously, the problem (at least under Logic Express) with the the 22-band ELS Vocoder was: MIDI input to the plugin was impossible - and that's all over now. Now any input analysis filter can be patch to any synthesis filter, allowing greater flexibility. ELS sports an Input Gate, Pitch Extractor with retune on notes option, Voiced/Unvoiced detector, 2 VCOs (Oscillators), Noise generator, 2 LFOs, Frequency Shifter with source selector and advanced stereo settings, Slew/Freeze adjust, Level Slider and VU Meter for each band, Output Mixer, and Keyboard with key hold.
