Guitars in the PRS signature artist series are getting a 2012 makeover, with new specs, finishes, added features and hardware, and more. Currently, the signature artist series includes special instruments for Dave Navarro, Orianthi, Nick Catanese, Chris Henderson, Neal Schon, and Cody Kilby.

At NAMM PRS Guitars announced its very first piezo-equipped solid body guitar -- the P22. This 22-fret piezo electric looks just as pretty as it sounds and has a figured maple top, mahogany back, mahogany neck with a rosewood fingerboard, and a redesigned PRS / LR Baggs piezo system.

Eastwood Guitars is shipping the Airline ’59 Coronado electric guitar.
Eastwood released its Airline '59 Coronado, a new electric guitar that pays tribute to the Supro Coronado model used by Dan Auerbach of The Black Keys. The originals were made of Res-O-Glas, but the Airline '59 Coronado has an upgraded design with a tone-chambered Mahogany body.

Charvel, a division of Fender, announced the Desolation Series of single-cutaway, double-cutaway, and Skatecaster guitars.
