Let me show you. It has low pass filter and a high pass filter so that -- I mean you have the pickups wired in parallel. Here it is bypassed, so we can make this big Gibson-style sound. Let's say I want to thin it out, make it sound like a Strat. See what I just did? By moving the low pass filter, I can revert this. Let's say I have a thin sound here on my guitar and I want to add more body into it, just by combining the low pass, high pass, and the dry sound, I can immediately and dramatically alter the sound, adding more body into it.
