Electro-Harmonix Electric Mistress Plays Both Sides Like It's Nothing
March 03, 2009
Join us in the Gearwire Studio as the Electro-Harmonix Electric Mistress astounds Owen O'Malley with its crazy, other-worldly warblings. I mean, it's just a pedal, but you might want to take it to bed with you. Hence the name, right? Just watch the demo.

Electric Mistress
I had the original EM and one of the greatest thing about it was the ability to shut off the LFO and use it as a comb filter, does this one have that effect or will I have to have it modofied, it seems that you don't know about thisgreat effect that the classic electric Mistress was able to do, it was great for making an anolog synth into an acoustic guitar sound
You can do it.
Hey Rob. Just like with the original, you can freeze the flange cycle. I found out about this neat feature after shooting this demo, but the first 10% or so of the "rate" control position (starting from CCW) sets the flange at a static point in the cycle, effectively acting like a comb filter. Not quite as easy to set as the original (with could be switched to static mode with an actual switch) but the feature is still there.
Yeah, sorry about the mono, everyone. I don't know what's going on with this one. I'll see about re-exporting the video.
Faux!!
Um... this is absolutely MONO!!! =/
