MIKE GRIFFIN: We’ll let Andreas play a little bit more for us, okay? Without the interruption.

[ANDREAS KAPSALIS PERFORMING A RENDITION OF PINK FLOYD’S “MONEY” ON THE ACOUSTIC GUITAR]

MIKE GRIFFIN: He told me an interesting story, and I thought that Andreas carried all his equipment, including his guitar amp, with him on the road, okay? So, he says, “No, I don't take my amp. I don’t even have a case for it to take it and protect it,” right? He says he takes the cord, and he just plugs into whatever amp is at the club. And I let Andreas kind of finish how he feels about what it does for him when he’s traveling.

ANDREAS KAPSALIS: The main thing with the cord is that if I’m in a different venue, you know, where you could be playing a really small club with, you know, everything just buzzes like crazy, where you could play a really nice theater where you generally have pretty good sound but either way, the consistency which allows me to kind of not worry about all that stuff. I can just worry about performing, trying to get the music across and not be concerned with hum or buzz or anything, I can just actually feel a sense of confidence, which is nice so for me it’s essential. It’s nice to not to have to worry the technical audio side of things. You just have things sound good so I can worry about the expressive end of the music.

I need awesome gear... I'd like a free gear catalog!
My opinion is awesome. I'd like to take a gear survey
