Evans Player Profile Events: Let Evans Help You Choose The Right Drum Head

June 16, 2010
Evans will be taking its Player Profile events on tour to help drummers find their playing style and ideal Evans drum head.

Next month, Evans will be traveling to select locations across the United States to showcase its Player Profile drum head selection system and offer drummers informational sessions, clinics, special promotions, and much more.

The Player Profile drum head selection system simplifies the process of choosing an Evans product (or drum heads in general) by dividing the heads into four basic categories: Sensitive, Versatile, Controlled, and Durable. Each Player Profile is based on specific musical applications and contains a range of products designed to deliver the best performance attributes for a certain genre, like attack, sustain, tone, and durability. The Profiles help drummers and percussionists narrow down a long list of drum heads to the most appropriate drum heads that best suit their playing style.

So what is your playing style? Find out at one of the Evans Player Profile events, where Evans staff members and a guest artist will be on hand to help you find your ideal sound and ideal drum heads. At each event, there will be a 30 to 45 minute session on tuning and high-performance gear tips by an on-site Evans product specialist, as well as a one-hour clinic by Tommy Igoe. The top Evans artist, Igoe, will teach and demonstrate concepts from his educational DVDs: Groove Essentials 1.0, Groove Essentials 2.0, and his most recent release, Great Hands for a Lifetime.

Evans will also hold an on-site raffle for over $1,000 worth of Evans products, including custom-made Inked by Evans graphic front bass drum heads.
