Eventide "Why I Love My Eventide Stompbox" Video Contest: Enter To Win Gear
To get a sense of just how much users of the twin delay TimeFactor love that stompbox (or other Eventide stomps), Eventide has launched a new video contest called “Why I Love My Eventide Stompbox.”
Since the effects processor manufacturer wants direct feedback, it is encouraging all Eventide stompbox users to create a short video (2 to 5 minutes in length) that highlights what they love most about their Eventide stompbox or stompboxes. Entrants will be judged on their video's sound quality, popularity, originality, and also the user's expertise in presenting their gear and describing exactly how much and why they like their products. One lucky winner of the contest will receive a new Eventide Eclipse V4 Harmonizer performance effects processor (valued at $2,995) absolutely free.
About the video contest and the company's line of stompboxes, Ray Maxwell, Eventide's vice president of sales and marketing says, “Since Eventide introduced our new line of stompboxes, we have received unprecedented positive feedback from guitarists, keyboardists, and players of a wide variety of instruments." He continues, “Now, as a way of sharing the enthusiasm for our stompboxes, we’ve decided to create a venue for showcasing the many ways to love our stompboxes. The winner will receive a brand new Eclipse V4 Harmonizer performance effects processor as the prize for the most outstanding entry. So, here’s your chance to show the world what you and our stompboxes can do.”
Create your most compelling video showing why you love your stompbox and post it to Eventide's YouTube channel. Then fill out the official online entry form and encourage your friends to link to and vote for your video. Full details about the contest are available here.
The “Why I Love My Eventide Stompbox” contest runs through September 1, 2010, so that gives every stompbox user a good three months to work on creating a standout video. The contest winner will be announced on Eventide’s Web site on September 23, 2010.
