Faderfox LV3 is a compact hardware controller for the Ableton Live 8 DAW.

Get hands-on, tactile control of Ableton Live with the new Faderfox LV3 -- a compact, dedicated controller for Live that controls track volumes by faders, rack parameters by encoders, and more.

The desktop LV3 unit features 24 programmable buttons organized in 3 rows, for total track control. With the LV3, you will have convenient ways to select and fire scenes a clips, Faderfox says. In addition to the 24 buttons, the unit sports 2 joysticks, 4 push encoders, an easy to read display, USB interface, LEDs for display information, and much more. Anything that you do in Live can be controlled with the LV3.

Faderfox LV3 features at a glance:

  • Dedicated controller for Ableton Live (also suitable for other DAW software)
  • Automap setup files for Live 8 are shipped with the controller, so no manual mapping is necessary
  • USB interface -- class compliant / no driver necessary
  • Controls 8 tracks with possibility to shift the 8-track window to further tracks
  • 24 Programmable buttons for all track functions
  • About 280 commands, all freely reassignable (each track sends on separate MIDI channel)
  • Select and start / stop of scenes / clips with dedicated encoder (clip-scroll in session view)

  • 2 Non-centered joysticks to control rack parameters in the selected track or in send tracks
  • Global control of several global parameters like tempo, quantization, and master / cue volumes

  • 33 LEDs in different colors to display various informations such as clip states, for example
  • 2 Digit display to show current scene number and track window
  • USB bus powering -- consumption less than 500 mW / 100 mA

The new LV3 controller for Ableton Live may be pre-ordered for 250 EUR (approximately $364). Faderfox plans on shipping the LV3 in mid June, 2011.
