PreSonus FaderPort Changes Its Status From "Single" to "In A Relationship" With Logic
You may remember our demo of the PreSonus FaderPort from a while back. Bill didn't seem to have any problem getting the thing to talk to Logic back then, but -- lo and behold -- PreSonus has only just announced the release of a fully native Logic driver for their popular* little control surface.
The new driver allows full compatibility with Logic 7 and later. The driver corrects some performance issues, and allows full access to the write/latch/read selection windows, transport controls, and the ability to switch between views from the FaderPort.
The native Logic driver was released as a Beta way back in March, but FaderPort and Logic were still seeing other people at the time. Frankly, I was a little surprised when they announced they were going steady. I mean, don't tell Logic, but I know FOR A FACT the FaderPort still works with ProTools, Cubase, Sonar, Nuendo and Digital Performer. Whatevs, I'm sure they're real happy together.
You can download the updated driver from the PreSonus Website.
