So, over Christmas, I bought one of my good friends a copy of Sesame Street- old school (1974-79). For all intensive purposes, it reminded me of when PBS actually tried to provide educational programs to children. As a result, I went on a You Tube spree, given that I could only take so much of hanging out at the karaoke bar in Warren.

The internet is full of clips I had completely forgotten about, ranging from Ray Charles with Kermit the Frog to Susan Ciani making synthesizer magic on 3-2-1 Contact. The number one find, however, had to be Herbie Hancock demoing the Fairlight Synthesizer on Sesame Street. Public television has rarely been this good.
