Winter NAMM: Fender Amp Demo Video - Champion 600

The Fender Champion 600 is a reissue of the original Champ, a glorifious practice from the good old days. This little monster pushes five Watts into a six-inch speaker with the help of a 12AX7 preamp and a 6V6 power tube.
All specs aside, the GW crew shooting this video could not believe that the sound emanating from the Champion 600 was as good as it was - nowhere near what what we would expect from a six inch speaker. The Champion 600 is the real deal.

SHANE NICHOLAS: Hi. Shane for Fender here with one of our new amplifiers. This is the Champion 600. It’s an all-tube amplifier that’s so small, cute, and inexpensive that everybody’s going to want one. It’s based on the original 1950-era Fender original but we’ve added a little bit hotter preamp so it distorts and crackles a little more which is what you want.

It’s 5 watts and a 6” speaker so you can crank it all the way up and not upset anybody in the next apartment. That’s it, the Champion 600.
