Fishman AFX Pedals Bring Quality Chorus, Reverb, And Delay To Acoustic Guitars
Fishman has announced the release of three new pedals in what is dubbed their AFX series - effects pedals designed specifically with acoustic guitar in mind. The new AFX pedals are available in Chorus, Delay, and Reverb models. Each pedal in the series contains the following shared features:
- Solid, all-metal construction
- Eight effects presets
- Two effect-adjustment controls
- Bypass footswitch
24 and 32 bit A/D/A processing
- 1/4 inch ins and outs
- Input gain switch
- Low battery clip light
The AFX Chorus name is not only a chorus. It includes three chorus presets along with stereo and mono tremolos, flanger, phaser, and rotary speaker. All of the presets were designed with the acoustic guitar in mind for live use or especially designed to be used in conjunction with Fishman’s Aura Acoustic Imaging processor.
The AFX Delay allows users to switch between "Modern," an ultra-clean delay, and "Classic," a warmer tone modeled after analog pedals. Four time controls (short, medium, long, and ping pong) as well as a tap tempo feature allow for delay control. A delay hold also serves for short phrase-sampling so you can play along with short loops.
The AFX Reverb features studio, room, plate, chamber, stage, concert hall, cathedral, and canyon settings, providing a nice array of reverb effects for a range of important acoustic tone. The AFX Reverb also features a Decay Time knob for further effect control and a Tone knob to darken or brighten your acoustic tone.
