Fishman Aura Spectrum DI: The Latest Wrinkle On Aura From Fishman
Fishman's Aura Spectrum DI instrument preamp has the quality of a direct box with the added tonal boost of their award-winning Aura Acoustic Imaging technology. Aura Acoustic Imaging technology makes instruments with pick-ups (undersaddle or soundhole) sound like they are mic'd in the studio.
The Aura Spectrum DI features 16 user configurareble Image locations, loaded from the Aura Image Gallery program by way of a USB interface. It features a feedback canceling phase switch, automatic DI ground lift, works with battery or adapter and has a rugged metal case.
The Aura Spectrum DI also has 128 pre-loaded Images of acoustic instruments, a three band EQ, built n tuner with bypass, compressor, volume, blend and image controls, automatic feedback suppression with up to three notches, an effects look, a high-end balanced XLR DI and a partridge in a pear tree (we made that last part up).
The DI ships with Aura Image Gallery III software that gives players free access to an ever-expanding library (over 700 Images for a myriad of acoustic instruments). These have all been recorded using world-class studio mics.
"The Aura Spectrum DI and Image Gallery III software represent a true culmination of this technology," says company founder and President, Larry Fishman. "Whether you're on stage or in the studio, the Aura Spectrum DI will provide the most transparent, natural sound available, allowing musicians to preserve their instrument's unique acoustic tone with studio accuracy."
