New from Focal Professional, the CMS 40 compact studio monitor features sound neutrality, extended bass response, high dynamics, no distortion at high sound levels, and easy installation.

Ideal for personal studios or broadcasting environments, the CMS 40 allows for near-field listening from 40 cm without compromising sound neutrality or the delicate mid-bass and bass balance, according to the manufacturer. The CMS 40's small size and mounting points at the back and underneath make it easy to install even in the smallest post-production rooms.

This new monitor is equipped an aluminum / magnesium inverted dome tweeter, just like its older siblings, the CMS 50 and CMS 65. Its lightweight transducer moving assembly extends the frequency response to 28 kHz, which guarantees an excellent impulse response, notes Focal.
