Focusrite ISA115 HD: A Candid Review From Horse-Drawn Production
February 11, 2009
This video proves to old adage "you can't judge a Focusrite ISA155 HD by it's cover." While the 115 was a fairly popular preamp in its day, the capacitors have a tendency to die sooner rather than later, and as Jackson (just Jackson) from Horse-Drawn Productions in Chicago points out, some of those units can be pretty dang noisy. He attributes the noise to the "bells and whistles," which makes sense to me. Have you ever hear actual bells and/or whistles. Things are noisy, man!

They did such a great job with the production. You should be very proud of the work here. There is so much that you can get from it.
