The Fohhn FC-9 is a digital DSP system controller with four inputs, six outputs, and eight input contacts for accessing presets, and other functions such as mute buttons. Especially useful for fixed installations, the FC-9 has automatic calibration function and integrated speaker management system that gives maximum protection for amplifiers and speakers. It can be monitored and controlled using a laptop (with Fohhn's new Audio Soft V3.0 software) or optional eight-button wall panel. It can also be integrated with AMX and CRESTON media control systems and EIB bus technology.

The Integrated Fohhn Audio DSP Technology is the foundation of the FC-9's capabilities. Two separate DSP engines and integrated speaker database for all Fohhn speaker types make the FC-9 a unique system controller. Based on an algorithm specifically developed for each kind of speaker, the speaker database is able to protect bass, mid, and high-frequency drivers in all performance classes to guarantee high reliability and excellent performance. The FC-9 has a programmable 10-band parametric EQ compressor/ limiter/noise gate, delay, X-over function, top-quality pink noise and sweeptone generator for each output. This allows the user to adapt the Fohhn system to present room acoustics or one's own preferences.

The amplifier calibrated function CAS and integral amplifier database provides optimal protection for amplifiers. Maximum protection is guaranteed when you feed the FC-9 data about your amplifier to perfectly match the FC-9 protcol. This allows the FC-9 to perform calculations of corresponding performance data for any amplifier. The FC-9 also allows you to store data for up to 100 amplifiers, which in turn is useable in all six output channels individually.

All the above features make the Fohhn FC-9 suitable for applications with standard multichannel 100V amplifiers or monitored amplifiers complying with EN 60849 standards. Accessories include user software, USB, and WLAN adapters. Optional items include the FR-10 wall-mounted panel. The Fohhn FC-9 is priced at 1368 GBP (around 2,245 USD).
