Didn't we cover this already? I can't seem to remember. The successive repeats produced by the TC Electronic Flashback Delay / Looper are so pristine I can't seem to get a grip on reality. Michael Ross discusses whether he shared the same experience.  

My favorite loop station is Clark and Lake, but folks seem to be all about this Boss RC-30 Loop Station. Of course, I don't trust just anyone to change my mind — that's the job of contributing pro reviewers like Marty Cutler.

That's why we asked him to review the new Eventide Space Reverb Pedal, a powerful, digital effect that crams a universe of spatial effects into a single stompbox. It takes chutzpah in this day and age to introduce an entirely new line of electric guitars to the market, but the Vox Virage series does just that. As to whether the new line is a success. . . we'll leave that up to regularly-contributing reviewer Joe Charupakorn to ponder.  

What can you do with a guitar, an amp, and an Electro-Harmonix POG2 Polyphonic Octave Generator pedal? A whole heck of a lot. GW Reviewer Michael Ross goes into more detail in his look at this unique pedal.  

In New York city in the 1970s being part of the "swing set" meant something very different. But Big-Apple-based guitarist and Gearwire reviewer Michael Ross tactfully avoids any reference to that scene in his review of the Epiphone Emperor Swingster archtop electric. . . an omission I hope we've herein corrected.

It might just change the way you feel about [FREEDOM].  

Yes there have been many words already committed to reviews on the MXR Carbon Copy Delay, but like the the successive repeats the pedal's analog circuitry produces, this one is slightly different from all that have preceded it. GW Reviewer Michael Ross offers his two cents on this fidelity-imperfect, perfectly musical analog delay effect.

Meet the amp that never met a newton it couldn't hold an object's velocity constant against at one meter per second: the single-watt Blackstar HT-1RH. Gearwire reviewer Michael Ross auditioned this unit-of-electromagnetic-measure through a matching Blackstar HT-408 4x8 cabinet.

Sure, the guitars deisgned by Bob Taylor have become insanley popular over the past few decades, but if you're a responsible skeptic like the folks at Gearwire you'll question whether it's because they're in fact superior instruments or if the masses have fallen for the well-oiled Taylor hype-machine. Known gear-skeptic Mike Levine levels his scrutiny at the top-selling Taylor 614ce Acoustic-Electric to find out.  

Whether you think they're hugely awesome or laughably huge, 8-string electrics are becoming more and more popular. Owen checks out the (relatively) low-cost Ibanez RGA8 to see if it's something aspiring metaleers can get down with.  

The unofficial nick-name of the Orange TH30H 30W head conjures images of Norse gods commanding the heavens and hard rock heroes hurling bolts of lightning-fast shredding. Joe Charupakron plugs into the Orange TH30H to find out if the amp delivers sound and fury or if the name signifies nothing.

If, after reading his sage wisdom, you still want to take down Big Mando, we won't stand in your way. In the words of Ronnie James Dio (a full-bird colonel in the eight-string militia), "The Mob Rules."

The latest collaboration from Vox and the Satch-man is hitting the streets in the form of the Ice 9 overdrive. Please keep this pedal away from your local water source; you don't want to be responsible for a global catastrophe, do you? Michael Ross recently melted a few faces (at 45.8 degrees Celsius) with his Ice 9 and tells you what it was like in this hands-on review.  

Vox's Valvetronix amps offer a tight blend of digital modeling and authentic tube tone, and their newly upgraded VT+ amps come loaded with even more great tones than before. But does the expanded feature set come at a price? Joe Charupakorn chimes in with this hands-on review of the VT20+ combo amp.  

MTV's Unplugged series played a major role in shining the spotlight on acoustic instruments in modern music. As more musicians jump on the bandwagon, plugged seems to be the new unplugged. If you can't find a version of your acoustic instrument-of-choice with a pre-installed pickup system, there's probably an aftermarket pickup available. All that's left is to decide on an amp.
