Fuchs amplifers
PROMO GIRLS: You're watching Gearwire.Com.
ANDY FUCHS: How are you doing? My name is Andy Fuchs. I'm owner and proprietor of Fuchs Audio Technology. We manufacture boutique-style guitar amplifiers.
Our current product line starts out at the Lucky 7, which is made in a head and a combo. That's our lowest power, 7 watts, single-ended class A. Next up the line is our Blackjack 21. It's a two 6V6, 20-watt, single-channel, not master amp. We manufacture the Overdrive Supreme, which is made in 30-, 50-, 100-, 150-watt versions. We manufacture the TripleDrive. The TripleDrive is made anywhere from 50 watts, 150-, and 100-watt versions. We also make the Train 45, which is a descendant of the old train wreck amplifiers of the '70s and the '60s, a single-channel EL34, non master, basically a straight-ahead rock & roll amp, takes-no-prisoners real in-your-face rock & roll tone.
The company has been in business since 1999. I started it in my home as a hobby. It's grown over that time now that it's out of my home and in a factory. We have distribution around the world in Japan, Italy, Germany, Netherlands, an number of foreign countries, as well as about 50 domestic dealers, so our product line ranges anywhere from the Lucky 7 which is about a $900 amp all the way up to the TripleDrive, which is in heads and combos and tops out at about $5,000. So we got a real wide range of products.
All of our products are 100% tube technology, and a combination of circuit boards and hand-wired construction. From 1 through 3 channels, most of which have effects loops and reverb all built in as well and built 99.9% American.
