Fuchs Audio Technology Bruiser Bass Amplifiers Debut
When Winter NAMM 2011 rolls around next month, Fuchs Audio Technology will be showing its all-new "Bruiser" line of bass amplifiers. Will these Bruisers be black and blue? Green and yellow? Photos of the Bruiser amps are not available yet, so we will have to wait until next month to find out.
Introduced as the flagship of a new bass amplifier line, the Bruiser features a six-stage, three-tube preamp with bright, ultra-low high- and low-gain switches; and high, parametric midrange, and bass controls. According to the manufacturer, the amp's separate stage and XLR-DI send volume controls make it a good choice for both the studio players and for the touring professional.
The Bruiser also features a 600W, Class-D switching power amp stable down to 2-ohms, which employs automatic fan control in direct response to the amplifier’s actual needs. The tube stages feature regulated high-voltage plate supplies, DC regulated filament supplies, and a custom-designed phase correct 36 dB per octave 20-Hz sub-sonic filter.
Like other equipment made by Fuchs Audio Technology, the Bruiser comes with a five-year warranty and is built on an aircraft-grade aluminum chassis using boutique, audiophile-grade components selected for tone and reliability. Fuchs Audio Technology expects to introduce lower powered and preamp only versions later in 2010.
