If you liked the Tripledrive Supreme amp by Fuchs Audio Technology but you would rather have a lower powered, less expensive version, look out for the new Tripledrive 30-Watt (TDS-30). This amp is just like the original Tripledrive Supreme, with the exception of its power output and price.

The Tripledrive 30-Watt features four 6V6 or two 6L6 tubes (your choice), along with all the same features as the original amp. It includes a six-way footswitch as standard, reverb, a full-time effects loop, 4-8-16 ohm outputs, and a fan-cooled aircraft-grade aluminum chassis. The TDS-30 head lists at $3,495 (MSRP).

About the Tripledrive Supreme (TDS):
The TDS offers warm headroom for undistorted country, jazz, or chiming pop. According to the manufacturer, if you play large venues, the Tripledrive Supreme will give you all the clean headroom you could ever need and a wide range of sonic choices.

Based on the Overdrive Supreme SLX, the TDS features three foot-switchable channels and is available in 50W, 100W, 150W -- and now 30W -- versions. The amp has a dedicated chime filled California Clean Channel with brite, deep, and rock / jazz switches, as well as mid and gain boosts. Its second and third channels are based on the company's Overdrive Supreme clean and mean channels.

The amp is controlled by a 6-way footswitch (included), which provides channel switching, as well as independent control of mid and gain boosts for both channels. An extra (separate) footswitch jack for the reverb is also available. What's more, the TDS features 4-, 8-, and 16-ohm outputs and a full-time all-tube buffered effects loop with series or parallel operation.

The loop features separate send and return level controls, a series / parallel switch and a trim control to permit line or pedal level device interface. The loop inputs and outputs are "live" whether the loop is terminated or not, which means the send output may be used as a line out, and the return input may be used as a spare line level input for a keyboard, drum machine, or other signal input, at any time.

The reverb offers an Accutronics long decay six-spring reverb driven by a push-pull current drive amp and a low-noise return amp using bi-fet op-amp technology. Also included are fully adjustable input and output levels, fan cooling, an aircraft grade T-6 aluminum chassis, individual tube bias adjusts, and regulated B+ and DC preamp tube filaments.
