FH(fx) AB-Synth v2: Is It Possible To Experience AB-Synth Flashbacks?
As with Algal Bloom and The Hugger before it, nary a month has passed between the release of the original FuzzHugger (fx) AB-Synth before the announcement that a second version will be available. Seems like a weird business plan to me but hey, I'm just a blog contributor and regular contributor to Crane's business Weekly oh wait I mean Gearwire.
FH(fx) Ab-Synth version two sacrifices a toggle switch and gains a footswitch. Coincidence? No. The footswitch does exactly what the toggle did, granting hands-free mode-switching to non-prosimians.
Mode-switching access may not seem like a bog deal to you, but that's because you haven't read up on the FuzzHugger AB-Synth yet. Lemmy clue you in. Ab-Synth is an extreme fuzz pedal plus synth oscillator. The oscillator is only active in the second mode, and can alter the signal radically. With footswitch access, pseudo-pitch-bending and arpeggio effects are possible, if not automatable (version 3? wait two weeks).
The original version of the AB-Synth is available, now for an amazing $9 off ($120). The more current version of AB-Synth can be purchased directly from FuzzHugger (fx) for $129 US.
