FXpansion has FXpanded their popular BFD2 drum workstation with the BFD2 JEX Expansion Kit. It utilizes the sounds of a high-end, custom hand-made kit from the XDrum Xotica line.

These custom drums feature six-ply Keller Maple shells with an extra ply of Sapeli Pommele that runs vertically to provide a top-notch low-end. The tung oil finish on the kit was applied by hand to open up the tone.

When you download this kit (it's download only), you get quite a bit. All drums are played with sticks, mallets brushes and rods, and the kick was played with both wood and felt beaters. The individual pieces of this kit include:

• Custom XDrum 18x22 inch kick
• Custom XDrum 8x8 inch tom
• Custom XDrum 8x10 inch tom
• Custom XDrum 8x12 inch tom
• Custom XDrum 14x14 inch tom

The JEX expansion also includes a bonus download of a detail-reduced Ludwig Sensitive snare, normally found in the Jazz & Funk expansion pack. There are no hi-hats or cymbals in this expansion kit, so don't expect any.
