FXpansion Electric Himalaya: Antiquity -- Xpands DCAM: Synth Squad's Cypher and Fusor
Linking the sounds of old with a bit of the new, FXpansion has released its new Electric Himalaya: Antiquity pack of vintage analog / keyboard-style presets for Cypher and Fusor, two of the instruments in DCAM: Synth Squad.
The new Electric Himalaya: Antiquity preset pack brings to light a number of chunky, vintage sounds in a modern format. The Antiquity collection includes fat, lush OB-style brass sounds plus classic analog leads and basses of all kinds; deep, evolving pads and shimmering bells; funky arps; powerful keyboard and polysynth sounds; and much more. Check out a sampling of the sounds for yourself at the FXpansion Web site.
In addition to the old-school analog subtractive and FM sounds, the Antiquity pack is said to offer new dimensions to these classic tones with Synth Squad’s precise tuning, tempo-synced LFOs and envelopes, and advanced modulation capabilities.
A notable highlight of the preset pack, according to FXpansion, is the realistic selection of electric piano and keyboard sounds, which use precise oscillator manipulation with Cypher’s advanced FM and WM modelling. These, like all presets in the Electric Himalaya: Antiquity collection, are instruments in themselves, "raw and full of rich musical presence, ready to sculpt into infinite shapes with FX, amp modelers, and outboard gear."
The Electric Himalaya: Antiquity pack comes supplied with 265 raw Cypher (dry) presets, as well as Fusor versions containing effects treatments and additional modulation.
Electric Himalaya: Antiquity features at a glance:
