Dan. I've seen your gearwire pieces on this site and on youtube. Please take some lessons in diction and microphone presentation, and learn what the gear does, is, or isn't. I'm sure you're talented and knowledgeable - you just can't work on camera or on air. I remember your Gretsch "ummm, uuuh, duo-jet, ummm, I think, it's, ummm, black?" review. Read the user feedback your videos get on Youtube. In one review you presented three different Les Paul guitars. You said "now, ummm, -smacking lips-, umm, what's the difference between the studio and the standard, the, ummm, top?" THIS IS YOUR JOB. Write the content. Produce. Research. Just stop reviewing. You generate truly negative visceral response when you speak. Not just me, man; go check the reviews on Youtube. This would be such a great service, but you're awful.

I stumbled on to your site while searching for some reviews on Guild guitars. I watch a review of the Guild Gad30 vs. Guild Gad 50. I thought the individuals reviewing the guitar were idiots. It was like watching stoned Beavis and Butthead type characters, grow up guys and learn how to play the guitar in the process. Sincerely, Wont Be Back

Guys, pay attention to the underlying theme running through the comments. No one is saying,"great job, don't change a thing". It's unanimous that your are coming off like idiots. There is a simple remedy for the problem - lose Britton. You other three seem like you are actually trying to put out a viable review, but everything that comes out of Britton's mouth is either negative or just plain stupid. It's not clear what his part in the review is supposed to be. He appears to know even less about guitars than he does world geography. If he's there for comic relief, he's just not funny. I sure you three are already painfully aware of what asshole he is - you have to deal with him in person. Did you guys read his "skinny guy" repy? He comes off like a retarded 4th grader on darvon. Do yourselves a favor and kick him to the curb.

You're all talented and funny/good natured guys and a straight forward (boring) review would be the last thing I would want to watch, but I am actually considering buying the GAD 50 and was quite excited when I found an actual video review!!! Especially at gearwire.com....this is a great site and I actually like Dan's reviews...who in the hell wants someone sitting there reading notes or a script??

BUT, this review was terrible beyond words....I couldn't even hear the guitars over the inane comments. I could tell Dan and the guitar player were trying to actually make an effort...as for the other two....why the fuck were you even there other than to act like asses in front of the camera?? Come on guys, this could be a killer site, but reviews like this just piss me off....and from the comments, I'm not the only one. You're credibility is slipping fast. Anything that Dan doesn't review now a crap shoot for me to watch.

Dan, keep up the good work, you're very knowledgeable and I put a lot of stock into your thoughts and opinions. As for Britton, I heard Burger King is hiring.

Is anyone supposed to take that review seriously? That was completely useless to anyone considering buying one of these guitars. At least I now have a bottom bench mark to measure all other guitar reviews by. Recess is over boys, now back to school.
