Ibanez 540S, Guitar Player Magazine, Feb. 1992
Want to see the future? Of course you do. Back in the pages of the February 1992 issue of Guitar Player magazine, the Ibanez company had similar dreams and worked to channel visions of events yet to come. Undoubtedly helped along by ingesting enormous quantities of cough syrup, Ibanez executives' concept for tomorrow involved the tragic slaughter, stuffing, mounting and display of Testament guitarist Alex Skolnick. Unfortunately, since today is yesterday's future, we need only look around for proof that Mr. Skolnick's early demise was in vain and Ibanez was way off.
Rob Warmowski: I for one am thankful that the future did not develop into one where common citizens wear body-hugging unitards that fit poorly around the calves. It would have been nice to see those helmets everywhere, though. I guess there's still time.
