Culled from the pages of March 1990's issue of Keyboard Magazine: behold the Atari Stacy portable computer. Originally designed to run on 12 "C" batteries, this early laptop came out the same year as the first Mac Portable.

Rob Warmowski: Oh, Stacy. What is it about your petite frame that allures me so? Is it your permanently blue screen, dappled with quarter note double stops? Can it be the mysteries that lie in your MIDI events? What is that bewitching fragrance? It's the PVC fumes that rise gently from your case, impelled by the hot whirring of your 20MB hard drive motor. I pause to admire the contour of your taut little trackball. Is it these charms that ensnare me? No. I sit and stare at you, Stacy, because you weigh fifteen pounds and I don't want to throw out my shoulder picking you up and lugging you around.
