Saigon Kick For Ovation (1993)
The class of '93 were just a bunch of crazy kids trying to figure it all out. Take the pictured Miami rock band, Saigon Kick as an example. Eyewitness reports suggest that these gentlemen actually were not known for using acoustic guitars in their middle-of-the-road early-90s alterna-forgotten songs. Yet somehow, Ovation found room for their round-back acoustic guitars in the hands of the band. Was it evidence of a stylistic evolution? A softening of the trademark Saigon Kick sound that failed to take the nation by storm? Or was it simply that the band had recently signed to Atlantic and Ovation was reaching for their coattails? You decide.
Rob Warmowski: Thanks to the input of Gearwire writer and Miami transplant Patrick Ogle, I now know that Saigon Kick were from the same scene as a just-getting-started Marilyn Manson. Kids, if you insist on doing business as usual with your careers and chasing the stardom powerball lottery, learn a lesson from Saigon Kick. Don't waste time doing endorsement deal photo shoots on the beach; use the time to work on your makeup and costumes instead.

I think a better way to "set
