Gibson LG-1 Doesn't Hide the Person or the Skills of Mary Ralph from Scotland Yard Gospel Choir
September 22, 2009
AFTER THIS VIDEO POSTED THE SCOTLAND YARD GOSPEL CHOIR WERE IN AN TRAFFIC ACCIDENT. MARY RALPH WAS SERIOUSLY INJURED AND THE BAND'S GEAR WAS DESTROYED. WE WISH THEM THE BEST AND HOPE THEY GET HELP REPLACING THEIR INSTRUMENTS.
At Bloodshot Records' 15th Anniversary Beer-B-Q, held at Chicago's reliably hip Hideout, Gearwire's Patrick Ogle runs into the Scotland Yard Gospel Choir. Hailed far and wide as Chicago's "Best Kept Secret" (not anymore), SYGC has shared the stage with literati as well as fellow musicians.
In any case, guitarist Mary Ralph has good taste in guitars starting from way back. Here, she waxes nostalgic about an early and enduring favorite, the Gibson LG-1.
