Gibson Zoot Suit SG Cherry Poppin' Daddies

Apparently, we weren't the only ones confused by the name of the Gibson Zoot Suit SG. Steve Perry of the Cherry Poppin' Daddies is as qualified a zootologist as we're likely to talk to, and he wonders what lead Gibson to name this psychedelic looking axe after the 30s and 40s era drapers popular with the Harlem jazz set.

Still though, the Zoot Suit SG is a sweet guitar. The man who was never the frontman for Journey tells us about the strengths and weaknesses of this colorful instrument.
