Wah-wah pedals will never be the same -- the G Lab True Bypass Wah-Pad (TBWP), distributed in the United States by TSI Distributing, is the add-on upgrade to any standard wah pedal. The TBWP ($149.99 MAP) device allows you pedal freaks to go directly into full “wah” mode by simply putting your foot on the pedal. Instead of depressing the pedal to engage or disengage the effect and click a mechanical switch, all you do is place your foot on the pedal, and the TBWP will sense the pressure from your foot and instantaneously engage the attached pedal.

The TBWP fits beneath standard wah-wah pedals and engages the attached pedals whenever pressure is applied, no matter what position the pedal is in. When the pedal is activated -- that is, when your foot is on it -- the ACTIV indicator light will turn on. To turn off the device, remove your foot from the pedal; it switches off smoothly, silently and goes into True Bypass mode until you place your foot on it again.

Operating on a standard 9V alkaline battery or external power supply, the analog device has a simple in-line design for easy use and attachment. To set up, place your wah-wah pedal onto the TBWP and connect the integral signal and power supply cables. Use the same connections between the guitar and amp (guitar cable to input, and TBWP output to the amp), and place the included blocking ring around the wah pedal’s switch, to keep it permanently in its On position and prevent accidental turn-off while playing.
