Great River 32EQ: A 500-Series Version Of Harrison EQ

October 13, 2009
Harrison Consoles and Great River Electronics announced the 32EQ with EQ bands and controls for gain and frequency.

Rather than steal each other's designs and announce them separately at AES, Harrison Consoles and Great River Electronics joined forces instead, and spun their unique perspectives into a new hybrid, the 32EQ ($775 MSRP).

So what is it? The 32EQ is a 500-series form-factor design of the EQ and filters featured in Harrison 32-Series consoles. Since it incorporates original Harrison specifications, the 32EQ is sure to please current Harrison customers while it draws in new ones to Great River.

Let's look at the main features:

  • Low, low-mid, hi-mid, and high EQ bands with gain and frequency controls
  • Low- and high-band "peaking" switches
  • EQ in / out switch
  • Harrison highpass and lowpass filters with sweepable frequency
  • Filter in / out switch
  • An internal jumper that provides selection of the "vintage" feedback design, or a non-feedback option

The 32EQ will be available sometime in the near future at a yet to be announced date. Stay tuned for more information that will be posted at the time of the 32EQ release.
