In the midsts of celebrating their 125th anniversary, the team at Gretsch also showed us some offerings at Winter NAMM 2009 including the Gretsch G6120DSW-R Chet Atkins 1955 RELIC. It utilizes their "secret recipe," and while they wouldn't share the exact details, it means a lot of maple, which is why this guitar tastes delightfully like syrup, and to twang fans, it'll sound just as sweet without leaving a sticky mess on your fingers.
